EHS FACEBOOK FRIENDS

2/4/11

Well, the best place for now for "passing" information for students, teachers, and staff alike, is now Facebook.  Only thing about Facebook is that the cause of death is normally not mentioned all the time.  Many of our friends and teachers listed in Facebook that have passed could be from other situations other than fighting cancer... but our list here deals with ONLY cancer-related incidents and causes of death.  So while Facebook may have a larger list than here, still try and reach to others about possible issues with others that were on the school property for a decent period of time that have fought strange health issues.

Mrs Chambers is doing ok.  She's taking it day by day.  Sometimes she has better days than others.  I hear Coach Armstrong is doing better though, and that he never really lost his hearing, he just needed a hearing aid.

UPDATE(5/3/09): It doesn't matter who or when year you graduated, if you have any news of anyone from Erwin High School fighting ANY kind of cancer please send word to through my River Log Email.  It can be anonymous, and you can request I not list last or first names.  From many teachers' points of views, something is/or has been going on.  Please let me know!  In a nutshell, we were being schooled on the site of an old illegal landfill when we were at school!  Not to mention asbestos possibly still inbedded in and around the Junior High buildings.  Thanks for reading!  Pass on the word to alumi you know!

THANK YOU

Hopefully I'll have a list of names and the cancers each fought that either worked or taught at EHS coming soon.  Now all the remaining living teachers talk about this very openly and because they want this to be known so I'm hoping everyone listed doesn't mind being on here.

We even bumped into some folks at Cedar Post who graduated some years prior our class, and his wife (both EHS alum) fought cancer (not much older than Angie and me!).  The cancers are normally not mesothelioma believe it or not.  Just wildly various from mild to deadly cancers.  Coincidence or not?  Spread the news, and remember you learned it here at CuriousCoons.org !
