Well the kids had a BLAST this weekend.  We hit 3 different churches' fall festivals, and Gram-gram's neighborhood!  Whew.  Lots of fun, lots of candy...daddy's pooped.   ONE person recognized what Daddy was dressed as on Saturday (the only time he dressed up).  He dressed as Carl Frederison from UP!  Brianna was a witch and Alex was Spiderman.

Mannheim Steamroller has a new Christmas album, sort of. web site.

Birthdays are just around the corner... yeah I know.  We'll send invites out when we get them.   Bri's will a bit more "retro".  And may be more for her friends... don't know.  More to come.  In the meantime here's a small list of what the kids "think" they want.

If anyone has emailed the River Log,  I admit I've yet to check emails for quite a while here, my apologies.

A big "thanks" goes to Mrs Abernathy, by the way, for helping me not look "alone" or crazy in the Facebook world in all seriousness of our alumni's (Staff & student) health futures!

The EHS area of individuals the are fighting or fought cancer possibly related to their work place or school at EHS has been updated.  Please check it out.  Mrs Chambers and I collaborated and had everything organized and a name or two added or taken off.

Pig-tail links just keep popping up everywhere...here's the latest.  Check the blog! Do you really want a flourescent bulb in a kids room (with mercury inside) that can be broken easily in that Little Mermaid lamp? Think about THAT for kids' safety!  Stock up on incandescent...we could turn into a 3rd world country about something as simple an issue as the bulbs you use in your OWN home.  Some countries have OUTLAWED incandescent bulbs, of all things.  Incandescent bulbs are easy to make, cheap to buy and easy to dispose without fear of contamination.  Shouldn't they be putting more efforts into going against drug trafficking?

OK, I have my 'pig-tailed' bulb blog in here somewhere.  I read this and just HAD to add a link.  So here it is everyone, straight from the New York Times: Pig tailed Blubs don't work? (link could disappear over time)

Since my good old friend Lovell Parsons, who helped me grow my ever love for raccoons to an all time high now (Heavens) 22 years ago,  I've added a Christmas section showcasing all the raccoon Christmas ornaments I've collected throughout the years!    2 or 3 more to be added this season!  I found more, yay!  Aunt Diane, it's now come down to me finding and buying my own...
